Urgent Prayer Request

Hey guys,

If you guys get this and think about it tomorrow (Wed. 23rd), would you please pray?

I got a call tonight from an elementary school teacher of mine. Mme. Annick is a hero of mine, and is the reason that I am becoming a teacher. She asked me to go over tomorrow and pick up some of her books.

Currently, she has a 3 day pass from the hospital to deal with her things - she is dying of liver cancer. I'm not sure how long she has left, but it has come pretty quickly. She was traveling in Egypt just 3 weeks ago.

I don't think she knows Christ, and this is a woman that I really want to spend eternity with. She is incredible. I love her so much.

If you get a chance, please pray for peace, wisdom, and an opportunity for me to talk to her about Christ. For her, please pray for peace, no pain, and an open heart to receive Him.

Thanks guys.

Kendall

I'll try and give an update sometime before school starts up again. What a crazy busy life.

Rejoice, be patient, be constant...

Hey Kaleo!

It’s been a while since we were all together eh. It almost feels like it never happened some days, but I know by the grace of God that it has indeed. Someone told me a few weeks ago, that, in regards to significant spiritual advances and things God has done the devil wants us to think that nothing ever happened. Maybe for some of us, we don’t feel that big things happened at Kaleo, and for others it changed our lives. I myself refuse to believe that nothing happened. I no longer dwell on the memories like I used to, I think I’ve found a healthy way to remember and celebrate what the Lord did through my time at Kaleo. I do praise Him for it and for all of you. I am reminded many times how God used each of you to teach me and shape me and help me to grow and I praise Him for it. I’m not sure what I’m getting at here other than remember what the Lord has done and praise Him for it; and lets not forget what He taught us then and continue to learn from Him now. This is not at all what I was on here to post, but it just came out so I hope it makes sense.

Anyhow, tonight at 5:30 SK time, some friends are coming over to my place to pray for me and my family as I go back to Reinfeld for Christmas. I know that most of you are far off but I would love it if you could pray for me this Christmas. And if you happen to be in C-port, stop by..it's open dorms from 2-8 every day till exams are over so if you are of the male persuasion, don't be shy.(That's mostly for Viktor if you read this before tonight:) I expect big things…massive actually. We do not serve a small God. I am constantly being amazed and reminded of how majestic and powerful He is, how He loves us. I am so quick to forget that He has only the good in mind for me and that He has things under control. I am so quick to only think of myself and be individualistic in my actions and thoughts and even dreams; not even thinking of glorifying Him at times. “Lord help me to completely trust You,” is a prayer I find myself praying. I’d like to say that I fully do trust Him, but I’m almost afraid to become a hypocrite. This quote I found in one of my readings for my Theology of Forgiveness and Reconciliation class:

“Trusting God means that in spite of our questions, doubts, and fears we draw on His grace and continue to believe that He is loving, that He is in control, and that He is always working for our good. Such trust helps us to continue doing what is good and right, even in difficult circumstances.” – Ken Sande (The Peacemaker)

When we fully trust God, we will be persecuted, we will look silly, and we will be blown away by His provision and mercy. We serve such a powerful God. Lord help me to live like I believe this. Amen.

Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”

Merry Christmas sibs!
